Highly Experimental will .... I guess I'll make a production blog of it sometime soon. Here or Livejournal (as opposed to throwing it all into my everyday foolery/personal livejournal under tags). I don't know.
Anihoo
I'm starting to wanna put up a webcomic again just to get some story ideas flowing. Lets see how that goes. For now, I'll probably chuck around some new character art to mess with the pigma graphic pen that my pal Craig gave me back at Otakon this year.
Edit: I gave in easilly and made the blog.

EvoRelution's production bits and General art stuff I'll keep here.

I'll Illustrate YOUR CS!
I get jealous of people that can use Illustrator to ink some really faboo drawings, but I'm having such a hard time learning it. It's like Photoshop has these great stroke path/pressure options that I can't find in Illustrator (CS), and they make the lines vary in width and everything. On the other hand, Illustrator has such smooth, crisp lines while Photoshop relies on poop-smeary paint brush lines.
I've searched Google and DeviantArt, and even the MFGG for tutorials, but while I've managed to handle Photoshop's pen tool okay, I really hate their poop-smeary paint brush lines, but I just can't get those nice edges and line strokes in Illustrator and the Bakaneko tutorial talks about all these brushes that aren't present in Illustrator CS.
My gods, These things make me feel like I don't know crap about computers. I need to get the social nerve to pester RageMario since he's my idol Illustrator artist.
I love a good ice chunk-filled Caramel Frappuchino!
Here's the sketch I've been trying to practice on. Done in OpenCanvas 4.

And stuff and junk and stuff and Otakon!
Juggling between 3D practice, EvoRelution character mods, commission work, praying I'll make it to Rare, playing addictive games, and preparing for Otakon is.... well.... neat! A bit of work, but things aren't all bad!
My new pens came in the mail just this past friday. Prismacolor fine line. $8 for a pack of 5 at http://dickblick.com .... uh... another $7 to ship it. WHAT?
Seriously! it came in this box!
So anyway, OTAKON.
I will be there.... Again! This year!
For one, I will be sharing a table in Artist Alley with CheezyWeapon. Our table is marked on the following map below this paragraph. Secondly, I'll actually be cosplaying this year, so I'll only be wearing that traditional dirty old bucket hat and oversized denim shirt on Thursday during badge pickup. you know... the hat and shirt I wear like, every year like I'm some sort of cartoon character! I'll miss it, though. Especially since last year I started getting cosplayers! (That be my friends Joe and Angie right thar!)
But anyway, on Saturday I'll be cosplaying as Nergal Jr. from the Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy, and on Sunday I'll be cosplaying Mac from Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends (mainly because I coincidentally have his outfit and should take advantage of that). The red gloves and scarf set should come in the mail soon, and the glasses are going to be custom-made by my friend Kark! It's summer up here, so I had to purchase the scarf and gloves from E-bay. 'Came with a matching red hat too so that's cool! I'll try to post pictures here before the con. Friday? I dunno. I REALLY wanted to cosplay Billy, but I just don't have the shirt for it. Maybe I'll be Nergal Jr. for both days!Remember! I'm with CHEEEEEEZYWEAPON. Yep! I sure hope our table isn't behind a pole again. Last year it was behind a pole. And the VG Cats table. We barely got seen. D:
I'm addicted to games? Let's see... Currently I'm into....
Aegis Wing for the Xbox 360
The Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy for the PS2
Crash Tag Team Racing for the PSP
Pokemon Diamond for the DS
Code Lyoko for the DS
I'm awaiting Banjo-Threeie as well as Crash of the Titans for the Xbox360.
Cammi, out!

PUPPIES!
Among some of the commissions I was given this month to draw was an AIBO, those cute little artificial intelligence dogs. First generation.
Over the weekend I began sketching some practice scribbles of first-generation AIBOs. Both the more accurate type for intelligence purposes, and a bit of a cartoonish variety as I was asked if I could draw a female one.
Needless to say, the practicing turned out more interesting than I've ever imagined!
The following pics are NOT the commission pics. Just a couple of my practice shots on OpenCanvas. Once I get a composition idea burning in me brain, I'm going to draw and ink it on 9x12" bristolboard paper.
What is this? Little Red Riding Pooch? Well, that cloak needs a hood and then we'll talk! :D

Erm, What?
Just catching up on old art though there really hasn't been anything of amazement aside from some stupid FLCL parodies best not posting.
Have you guys heard of the "Crash of the Titans" game? It's the recent Crash Bandicoot title and the characters all got some.... amazing redesigns! I never doubted anything about this game- especially since I picked up a PSP version of "Crash Tag Team Racing" with my X-box version unplayable in the Xbox 360, and remembered just how awesome Radical Games can really be!
But anyway, back in the days which i think was a chunk of last year, I was a big fanatic of Nina Cortex and when I saw her new design, I was compelled to draw it myself!
And then there's the following. Yes. The yoshies really WILL destroy us all.
Okay.
Fine, here's the FLCL parodies and ..... other.... garbage...
The first one was actually a concept piece for a series of drawings I wanted to do but never began it called "Fooly-Kazooly" (FLKzL) which combined FLCL with Banjo-Kazooie. I had everything planned out down to Banjo being run over by a randomly flung backpack and Jolly Roger posing as a high school girl. Yeah....... YEAH!Have I ever mentioned I can't wait for "Wrath of the Spider Queen"? Like, enough times on AIM?
Don't ask. Seriously.

Where the heck to begin, man?
So it's obviously noticable that the Evo comic died after two pages. Okay, one if you don't count the intro. Four weeks of the haitus was due to yours truly happily slaving over a miniportfolio and employment application to Rareware and the rest was due to lack of interest and more motivation to work on my other stories as well as picking up on 3D-modelling.
And of course, when the comic began some years back, it was an ameteur college project. Sure, all it's readers are going to wanna see it continue, but I personally don't.
This summer will feature a brand new From-Scratch EvoRelution series.
Or maybe I WILL continue the current comic.
Ugh. I don't know. I tried to but the choices have been plaguing me for several months now.
For the meanwhile, here's some title cards to what was going to be the first three tales of the old comic series.
I really love Painter5's textured watercoloring abilities, but I swear ya, it's totally NOT something for comics. The program's lack of layers is horrible and you can't use the color-picker unless the canvas is dry.
But photoshop coloring is too bland.
Perhaps I should go back to prismacolors...

Two of my webcomics are now functioning on a regular basis again.

Will there finally be a Highly Experimental comic spanning longer than 2 pages? We'll see!
